Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia casinos that sit just over the border from nearby Thailand, in which gambling den gaming is not legal. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of controls constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; still, investment sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and though visas are supposedly needed to cross, there are ways around this, as is correct of most borders.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored ship casino, features 150 slot machines and 60 gaming tables. The Naga casino is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. A total of 150 slot machines and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and sixty six of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive vacation and hotel building that highlights a number of amenities on top of the casino, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight gaming tables.
