Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a captivating background to the Cambodia casinos that sit just over the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, where gambling hall betting is banned. Eight gambling halls are anchored in a relatively small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent destination, a three to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mostly Thai; still, funding sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 17:00, and although visas are supposedly required to pass, there are methods around this, as is correct of most border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 60 table games. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of blackjack, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon followed. There are 150 slot machine games and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive vacation and hotel complex that highlights many luxuries on top of the casino, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and 88 tables.
